White.Resettlement

For more than a decade, The Welcome Network has supported families fleeing war, political instability, violence, and humanitarian crises around the world. Through partnerships, we help newly arrived families begin rebuilding their lives in the Chicagoland area.

Our resettlement work focuses on what newcomers need most: safe housing, community connection, support navigating essential services, and trusted relationships that make them feel at home. Some families receive short-term housing in our Welcome Homes, while others are accompanied by host families or supported through our broader community network.

We invite you to watch the video to learn more about how refugee resettlement happens through collaboration, compassion, and long-term community support.

Explore the sections below to learn more about our Welcome Homes, Host Families Project, and ways you can support or volunteer with refugee newcomers.
